HAILEY’S COMMENTS    

      This is the weekend of our Annual Ladies‘ Retreat.  We hope they have had a safe and very inspirational time.  There were over thirty ladies signed up to attend.  Our prayers go with them, this weekend.  Betty, Jeremy, and I traveled to Abilene Christian University for the Homecoming Musical, parade, and game.  We came back after the ball game, last night.  Kari was involved in the parade with the Alpha Kai Omega Parade float.  This is my graduating class‘ 35th Reunion.  This was my brother Joe’s class‘ 40th Reunion.      

     This morning, we will continue our study of Peter’s second epistle.  Our lesson, this morning is entitled:  Perils from False Teachers.  We will be studying 2 Peter 2:1-22.  False teachers have plagued the work of God in every age of the history of the world.  They will continue to surface and do their damning work until the Lord comes again.  For this reason, people who loved the Lord must be on their guard constantly.  There is no more scathing rebuke of false teachers anywhere in the world of God than the one found in our text.  Study along with us. 
 

     Our Care Groups will not meet tonight.  This is the third Sunday of the month and we will all meet at 6 p.m. at the church building.  I hope you will plan to attend.  Brad Simon will teach our class at that time.  We will be studying in more detail Peter’s first epistle.  

     Your overwhelming contribution was a real help to the Rosa family.  There was approximately $660 donated to help this family, who lost everything in the fair.  Our contribution was still over budget.  Thanks so much for your willingness to give.
