It was encouraging to have a good turnout for the Dave Ramsey Course, Financial Peace University. Our class began this past week. We had 13 present for the class. If you have already taken the course, you can come back and visit at any class period or take the whole course again if you would like. We already have several who are taking it again. Our lesson this week is entitled: Nerds and Free Spirits Unite. It is about how to talk about finances in the home.
Don’t forget that this is our Potluck Sunday. Stay around after the morning service and let’s have some time of fellowship. I know you will like the food, I always do. On top of that, you get to visit with some wonderful people, your family in Christ.
This morning we will be continuing our study of Stories about God Everyone Should Know. Our lesson is entitled: Daniel in the Lions’ Den. Our story is taken from Daniel 6. Daniel is a captive Jew, working in public administration for the King of Babylon. Although he has been in Babylon for many years, he continues to practice his Jewish faith. Even though it could cost his life, Daniel refuses to stop praying to his God. There were some very interesting consequences. I hope you take a Bible and follow along as we consider this story.
This afternoon and evening we will be meeting in our Care Groups. I hope you will plan to attend one of our three Care Groups. Their times and places will be posted in the bulletin and announced this morning.
On Friday, both Kari and Ashley will be heading out on their Spring Break Campaign. They are planning to go to Denver to work with a group called “Dry Bones.” They work with the street kids of Denver helping them to come into a relationship with God and Jesus Christ and if possible restore their family relationships as well. I know they would appreciate your support and prayers. Their letters are posted on the annex bulletin board.
I love you with the love of the Lord! ---Bob |
